What is Microblading?

Microblading is a form of a semi-permanent makeup performed using a manual disposable handheld tool composed of very fine needles resembling the shape of a mini blade (microblade). The brow tech will hand draw each individual hair onto the brow area creating a tiny papercut like slit and simultaneously implant the pigment into the skin.

Is Microblading for anyone?

Microblading is an ideal solution for clients who have patchy, thin, or uneven eyebrows and are looking for the most natural looking results. However, not everyone is a candidate for microblading and there are different things to consider like ones health and skin condition before receiving this service. Microblading is most suitable for clients with normal to dry skin and smaller pores. Oil in the skin can cause the Microblading hair-strokes to expand and blur, so the less oily the client skin is, the better the results will be.

Why do you need two sessions for Microblading brows?

A new set of Microbladed eyebrows takes two appointments to complete. The technique and art of microblading is very delicate and for this reason it needs two visits to ensure that all the strokes are evenly saturated with pigment. The second appointment takes place 8-10 weeks after the initial appointment. This allows time for the pigments to settle into the skin allowing the artist makes any needed adjustments and ensures each hair-stroke has even color.

Is there any pain involved?

The microblading process has little to no discomfort at all. A highly intense numbing cream is applied before the blading begins. The most uncomfortable part of the entire procedure is the stretching of the brow area by artist. This is to ensure a clean cut and avoid any wonky lines due to loose skin.
